News archive - [Event Announcement] FOCUS-BALKANS Organises Training Module about Food Consumer Science

FOCUS-BALKANS (Frameworks, Protocols and Networks for a better knowledge of food behaviors) is a three year European joint project of 15 research organisations implemented to attain better understanding related to food consumer choices and behavior, while contributing to public health and consumer protection.

The project team will carry out a training module about Food Consumer Science (Frameworks, Protocols and Networks for a better Knowledge of Food Behaviour), aiming to privide the participants with:
- a theoretical basis for understanding food consumer science,
- understanding of cutting edge methods in the field of food consumer science,
- up-to-date market data, consumer trends and habits in three different niche markets: organic food, regional food, dietetic food and in one of the major commodity market related to human health (fruits).

The training activities target a wide range of organisations from public and private research sectors,
NGOs and consumer associations: Food consumption researchers, students and scientists from different field
Local development agents and experts Stakeholders from food supply chain or inter-professional bodies
