News archive - [Event Announcement] Information Day on FP7 Environment Calls on June 17

The EC is organising an Information Day in Brussels on the calls for proposals in the 2012 FP7 Environment Work Programme. The calls are expected to be published in July 2011. The event aims to highlight the novelties of the 2012 Work Programme and will also provide guidance on proposal preparation and submission.

The opening session will be presented by Manuela Soares, the Director of the Environment Directorate within DG Research. She will explain the new introductions in the Environment Work Programme and also set out the challenges that the topics are trying to respond to. The afternoon will see two sets of three parallel sessions, covering thematic issues such as resource efficiency, the sustainable use of land and seas and climate change.
Registration is done online. The closing date for doing so is 14 June and registration is on a first come first served basis. The event itself takes place on 17 June. Delegates have the option of giving a short presentation during one of the brokerage sessions attached to the event.

There are no registration fees for this InfoDay. Participants are expected to organise their own travel and accommodation. The European Commission will not reimburse any expenses.
