News archive - COST launches Open Call for Research Networks

COST - European Cooperation in Science and Technology - invites researchers throughout Europe to submit proposals for research networks and use this opportunity to exchange knowledge and to embark on new European perspectives.

A continuous Open Call for Proposals is used to attract the best proposals for new COST Actions. Experts from Near Neighbouring countries are entitled to participate in the Open Call, however the submission of proposals for new Actions is limited to experts from COST member countries only (the following West Balkan Countries are members of COST: Croatia, the FYR of Macedonia and Serbia).

The Open Call follows a two-stage process whereby applicants, after registering, submit a preliminary proposal by a set collection date. This preliminary proposal provides an overview of proposed Action's goal and its foreseen impact. After assessment, approximately 80 of these preliminary proposals are selected for the second phase. Successful applicants are then invited to submit a full proposal.

Further information on the call, send an email inquiry to: opencall@cost.esf.org or get in direct contact with your national COST coordinator: http://www.cost.esf.org/about_cost/who/(type)/3

Submission deadline: March 27, 2009 at 17:00 Brussels time.
