News archive - [Event Announcement] ICTurkey 2011: International Partnering and Collaboration Event in ICT, 27 September 2011, Istanbul

ICTurkey 2011 will be organized on 27 September 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey. The event will be a high profile international brokerage event on the theme of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and concentrate on FP7 opportunities for researchers in the ICT field. The 2011 ICTurkey International Brokerage Event in ICT will bring together 200 ICT researchers and organisations. Western Balkan countries' researchers are particularly encouraged to apply since the funding to cover the costs for participation is available for a limited number of participants.

ICTurkey 2011 will concentrate on FP7 opportunities for researchers in the ICT field. Over 200 participants from both the research and the industrial communities in Europe are expected to participat the event. The event will encompass the Cooperation and Capacities Specific Programmes of FP7. It will also be cross-thematic including areas such as Societal Challenges, Public Private Partnerships for SMEs, Green Cars, Energy Efficient Buildings and Factories of Future. The day will also offer parallel sessions of general information, various workshops and the opportunity for focused one-to-one partnering meetings between researchers.

As well as networking opportunities, there will be presentations by the European Commission Officials and FP7 experts on forthcoming proposals. Researchers from across Europe will be presenting their concepts for future proposals and experienced FP7 applicants will be sharing tips on how to develop successful proposals.

Anyone can present ideas for projects and discuss them with potential partners, give feedback and support and supplement each other’s ideas.
