A Ministerial Conference on e-Inclusion will take place in Vienna, Austria from November 30 to December 2, 2008. It will be the biggest e-inclusion event ever organised in Europe. Around 1200 delegates are expected to attend.

6 plenary sessions, 20 parallel sessions and 10 workshops will be organised. The conference will be complemented by a large scale exhibition with more than 90 exhibitors.

Jointly organised by the European Commission and the Austrian Government, the conference is the culmination of many activities and actions that have taken place across Europe as part of the ' e-Inclusion: be part of it!' campaign organised by the European Commission. It is an opportunity to celebrate achievements and showcase successes in the field of e-Inclusion, including the seven winners of the European e-Inclusion Awards. It also represents an opportunity to take stock of what still lies ahead and renew the commitments to achieve inclusion in the information society for all.

The event will host e-inclusion leaders from industry, academia and voluntary sector and will address topics as diverse as shaping European e-Accessibility environments, investing in information technology for sustainable elderly care, digital literacy and insights into future technology perspectives. European Ministers will come together to measure progress, refresh the Riga vision, and gain valuable insights from cutting-edge initiatives.
