News archive - Event Announcement: EREF Workshop Trieste

A workshop on "The Role of Science and Technology Parks in Building the Regional Knowledge Society" is being held at the AREA Science Park Congress Centre in Trieste on May 22, 2008.

After a visit of AREA Science Park, the participants will discuss key issues and state of the art on the concept of science and technology parks, evolution and interpretation in terms of scope, strategic management of research, education and business, overall impact on local, regional and broader environment (Giancarlo Michellone, President AREA Science Park) as well as the role of technology parks in EU candidate countries (Marijan Ozanic, Director Zagreb Technology Park); Services provided by the parks (Malcolm Parry, Director Surrey Research Park) and How to build science and technology park tenants's visibility to the outside world: networking and internationalisation (Iztok Lesjak, Director Ljubljana Technology Park).
