News archive - Serbia: Science and Technology Park in Nis by 2012
A Technology Park is planned to be constructed in Nis, Serbia, near the Faculty of Electronics.
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic signed the Protocol on realization of Science and Technology Park with Mayor of Nis Milos Simonovic and Rector of the University of Nis Miroljub Grozdanović. Protocol is binding city of Nis and the University to ensure land and necessary infrastructure, while the Ministry will invest money in construction work.
The deadline for the completion of the park, whose primary goal is to help small and medium enterprises in development and efficient business, is year 2012.
Science and Technology Park will be built near the Faculty of Electronics site and the funds are provided through a financial arrangement with the European Investment Bank for development of scientific and technological infrastructure.
