On this occasion representatives of the University of Sarajevo met with the representatives of the CBS Research Support Office (RSO) coordinated by Jane Finnerup Johnsen and learned about project management, effective organization of project support activities, and PhD support. The RSO closely works with funding coordinators at different departments which is why a meeting with a funding coordinator Bo Christensen at the Department of Marketing turned out to be very productive. This meeting provided an opportunity to learn more about the role of a funding coordinator and different tasks this person is assigned. Basically, this role emphasizes the absolute necessity to motivate researchers to apply for funds and bring in useful projects which in return help develop departments.

In order to learn more about PURE system that the CBS has been using for over 15 years, the delegation met with the Head of the Library Gert Poulsen who presented all possibilities of research information management the system provides, as well as creating and developing research profiles with the insights.

This visit was realized with the support of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton and the support of the Horizon Project Policy Answers with special focus on capacity building.
