News archive - Balkan Barometer 2021 highlights the added value of regional cooperation

As reported by the EC web news, the 7th edition of the Balkan Barometer 2021 was published on 24 June.

This year’s edition found that 77% of citizens in the region support regional cooperation and its role in improving the political and economic situation in their home economies. When it comes to businesses, 72% perceive the EU as the most preferred block to trade with, and 48% said new roaming agreement helped them save money.

The elimination of barriers, borders and tariffs for mobile phone roaming this year is just one example of how such regional cooperation can make a tangible difference to the everyday lives of the region’s citizens.
