News archive - [Call Announcement] CfP: Zagreb Conference and publication 'Development and Challenges of Protection of LGBTIQA+ rights'

The Zagreb Faculty of Law Student/Faculty/Staff LGBTIQA+ Alliance „ZA-Pravo“ is pleased to invite submission of papers and abstracts for the Conference on Development and Challenges of Protection of LGBTIQA+ rights, to be held on 10 December 2021 (Human Rights Day). The working languages of the Conference are Croatian and English. Due to the exigencies of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Conference will take place in hybrid (in situ and online) form.

 

All abstracts (maximum of 200 words, 5 keywords) must be submitted in Word format to the Organizing Committee email at: za.pravo.lgbtiq.osoba@gmail.com 
 
The submission deadline is 15 September 2021. The Organizing Committee will notify its decision to the authors by 30 September 2021.
 
Final papers are to be submitted by 10 November 2021. The authors will be notified on the papers' acceptance for presentation at the conference and publication in the Conference Proceedings by 30 November 2021. Papers should not exceed a maximum of 40.000 characters  (with spaces). References and bibliographies should use APA 6th style.
 
Papers should touch upon an issue within a wider framework of gender equality and protection/development of LGBTIQA+ rights as a subset of human rights. All topics exploring issues of equality, affirmation, and protection of LGBTIQA+ rights are welcome.
 
An author can participate with a maximum of two papers. However, they can be the paper's sole or first author only on one of them. Both undergrad and graduate students as well as young researchers are encouraged to apply.
 
Participation at the Conference and publication of papers in the Conference Proceedings are free. 
 
 
Important dates:
  • 15 September 2021 – submission of abstracts deadline
  • 30 September 2021 – notification on abstract acceptance and invitation to submit integral papers
  • 10 November 2021 – integral paper submission deadline
  • 30 November 2021 – notification of papers’ acceptance for presentation at the Conference and publication in the Conference Proceedings
  • 10 December 2021 – day of the Conference (Human Rights Day)
