News archive - Upcoming event: ESS training in Albania
As part of the activities organized under Western Balkans European Social Survey Regional Network and SUSTAIN II, SCiDEV and the University of Tirana are co-organizing a one-day training for Albanian academics (educators and/or researchers) on how to use data from the European Social Survey as a resource in their teaching and research work. The training will be delivered in two half-day sessions on 7 and 14 May 2021.
The training will be open to 20 (twenty) participants from Albania and Kosovo, which will be selected based on a Call for Participation.
Using discussions, examples, and case studies, a team of trainers will familiarize participants with the ESS questionnaire and showcase the usefulness of ESS data as a high-quality and easily accessible resource. Participants will be asked to select a research question that can be addressed with ESS data and investigate it during the training. At the end, they are expected to write a short summary (akin to an abstract) that can be used to promote the benefits of ESS to a wider audience.
The training will be held in virtually. The language of instruction will be Albanian.
