News archive - MSCA Cluster event on Cancer research and Innovation - Watch it again!
Cancer is a top priority of the European Commission and it is one of the research and innovation (R&I) missions under the Horizon Europe framework programme. In addition, across the European Union, a number of national research activities are paving the way for a joint approach to fighting cancer.
In this context, the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Units of the Research Executive Agency (REA), in collaboration with the Commission's Directorate General Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), have invited a select number of promising cancer research projects to share their results and join in exchanging ideas on how the EU can improve its various policies in the fight against cancer. The online nline MSCA Cancer Event took place on the 18th and 19th of March 2021. Participants had the opportunity to listen to leading cancer researchers representing MSCA projects in the following areas:
- Diagnostics support to clinicians
- Drug development and therapy
- Immunotherapy
- Prevention and Personalized medicine
- Quality of life of patients and survivors

A virtual poster booth was moreover available for the entire duration of the event. It included the same five thematic panels as the live event. You can now walk through this 3D area where 34 of these promising cancer research projects were displayed. The most popular e-poster was voted and proclaimed during the Closing Session.
