News archive - [Event Announcement] Registrations are open: 5th Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region

5th Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) jointly organised by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the European Commission with the support of the EUSAIR Facility Point, will take place in Belgrade on 28th and 29th January 2021 under the slogan "Strengthening the resilience of the Adriatic and Ionian Region through cooperation"

Due to the coronavirus outbreak and concerns regarding the health situation last year, we were not able to welcome you to the Annual Forum in Belgrade during the Serbian EUSAIR Chairmanship. We are grateful to the Slovenian Chairmanship for the opportunity to host the Forum now in an adapted virtual form.

We are pleased to welcome you to our live broadcast from Belgrade on 28th – 29th January 2021 with engaging live sessions. Through the virtual conference platform, you will be able to interact with exhibitors and other colleagues from the region to exchange information and discuss opportunities for collaboration.

Please register as soon as possible, latest by 26 January 2021 at 12 p.m. (noon) CET.  Please expect to receive  within a few days a link with instructions on how to log-in to the virtual conference platform. Please keep that e-mail safe, as it is your only way to access the event.

The 5th EUSAIR Forum will be a virtual event, featuring inspiring speakers in the live program and offering networking opportunities through a virtual conference platform. In addition, you will be able to find out more about initiatives and projects in the Adriatic and Ionian region at the virtual exhibition stands.

Cooperation is a central concept for the post-2020 programming period. This COVID-19 pandemic appears more and more as a disruptive and changing crisis. It has therefore become even more important to join our forces and to try and find common solutions for our generational challenges.

The plenary and thematic sessions will focus on the digital and green transition, the regional response to the COVID-19 crisis, macro-regional cooperation in relation to the EU post-2020 strategic and legal framework, the new methodology for enlargement and the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, as well as the recovery of the cultural and creative industries in the region.
