i-Portunus  is a scheme funded by the European Commission that supports the mobility of artists, creators and cultural professionals, implemented by consortia of cultural organisations. It funds short-term mobilities for individuals to go abroad or for hosts to attract international talent.

i-Portunus’ main objective is to connect international artists, creators and cultural professionals and to support international collaborations among all countries participating in the Creative Europe Programme. It’s the “Erasmus” of the culture world.

i-Portunus Stories:

These stories are examples of projects supported by i-Portunus.

Eva Máñez  applied for a one-month collaboration at the cultural organization Crvena (Sarajevo) in order to document and analyze the artistic empowerment practices of women’s activist collectives in Sarajevo and to produce photographs, texts and videos. Máñez also organised a multimedia workshop in Crvena about the practices of the feminist movement in Spain after the women’s strike on 8th March, focusing on the appropriation of public space and the threats posed by the rise of extreme-right groups. Luka Strika and Jelena Mijic` project focused on networking, meeting local cultural and artistic actors and learning about their projects and initiatives and planning possible future collaborations. Fore more information, click here

Paul Gounon went to Skopje in North Macedonia and was hosted by Acanthus Gallery / French Institute.The “History, Power and seduction” project highlights the links between history and our society, politics and how they affect our world views. Fore more information, click here

Johannes Mundinger participated in the Street Art Residencies program of Elektrika association from Pancevo (Serbia). The project is curated and coordinated by Vladimir Palibrk in collaboration with Institut Français and Novi Sad Capital of Culture 2021 foundation. Fore more information, click here
