News archive - More amendments to Horizon Europe proposed by 13 EU Universities
On 2 July 2018, a group of 13 European university associations, including amongst others the European University Association (EUA) and the League of European Research Universities (LERU), presented a series of amendments to the European Commission's proposal on the next Research Framework Programme Horizon Europe, the specific programme and related annexes, all of which had been published by the EC on 7 June 2018.
An additional list of technical amendments were put forward with the aim of enhancing the acceptance of cost accounting practices of beneficiaries. The university associations had already called for a doubling of the funding for Horizon Europe compared to Horizon 2020. The EUA explicitly states that should the budget fail to reach this amount, this should lead to a prioritisation of pillar I actions, and a rebalancing of clusters in pillar 2.
