The Western Balkan Evaluation Network (WBEN) Conference will be held between 25- 26 October 2017 in Zagreb, Hotel International, Croatia
The main Conference Themes are:
- PRACTICE: State of practice and system of policy impact evaluation in states, sectors, regions; perspectives of specific experiences and published evaluation studies.
- CHALLENGES: Challenges in evaluation theory, methodology, systems, standards or ethics.
- INTERNATIONAL APPROACHES TO EVALUATION: Evaluation systems and broader evaluation challenges of the EU, international donors, UN and other global evaluation protagonists.
- EVALUATION COMMUNITY: Organisation and functioning of evaluation communities in the region.
- NETWORKING: Regional cooperation of evaluators – experiences from the regional network/s
The PROGRAMME BOARD of the 2nd Regional Conference of Western Balkan Evaluators also invites members of evaluation networks and other interested experts that deal with evaluation of public policies, programmes and projects to submit abstracts based on practical evaluation experience and/or scientific research to be presented at the conference by 31 July 2017. Topics can extend from:
- State of the art in evaluation in the region and perspectives, presentation of accomplished evaluation studies;
- Methodological challenges in evaluation, evaluation standards and evaluation ethics;
- Evaluation system and broader challenges of evaluation in EU context, and in donors' context;
- Operation of evaluation communities in the region – challenges, exchange of experiences;
- Cooperation of evaluators in the region.Authors may submit their contribution as: Conventionala presentation (300-500 words of abstract), or Poster (graphically or textually).

Authors can submit their abstract in one of the Working languages of the conference: English, Bosnian, Croatian, Macedonian, Montenegrin, Slovenian and Serbian.
Notification of acceptance: 10 September 2017.
Authors with contribution to the conference will be approved lower conference fee.
