Epoka University, in Tirana, Albania, organizes the 6th International Conference on European Studies (ICES'17). The conference titled ‘Local, regional and global governance’ will be held on 5-6 November 2017 in Tirana, Albania.
The title of the conference clearly emphasizes one of the central issues in an ever globalizing world. Good governance is the basis for an effective policy selection and implementation. As such, it appears as a crucial condition for being successful in the achievement of a broad range of policy objectives in domestic and international arena. ICES’17 focuses on governance as a process of interaction among a set of three main actors including state, civil society and private sector in local, regional and global levels. Improvement of the quality of governance is a challenging process that requires coordination among all three actors in all three levels mentioned above. This conference aims to promote an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas, knowledge, research, information and recommendations between scholars, policy makers, governors, civil society and research students on the perspectives and challenges on local, regional and global governance.
