News archive - "How to best attract talented researchers?" Regional Workshops in Ohrid on 25 April 2017
The purpose of these regional workshops is to fully inform ‘newcomers’ (research performing institutions and research funders) on the principles of Charter and Code and their implementation in the research institution via a step-wise procedure called the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).
The workshop in Ohrid will be held on 25 April 2017 and is restricted participants from Albania, Montenegro or FyroMacedonia.
The workshop addresses HR Directors and HR Managers in Research performing and Research funding institutions from FYROM, Albania and Montenegro. It also addresses high-level representatives of universities, research centres as well as beneficiaries and potential applicants of H2020 contracts/projects who need to comply with article 32 stipulating the (best effort) obligation to take measures to implement the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (C & C) for the benefit of all researchers and their institution.

Successful implementation is awarded by the Commission Services, contributing to the reputation of the awarded institutions and giving high visibility on the international scale.The workshop addresses HR Directors and HR Managers in Research performing and Research funding institutions from the different regions.
Programme
The morning session is dedicated to short presentations on the principles of C & C, the HRS4R and the link with article 32. Q/A sessions will take place after each of the presentations to make sure participants clearly understand the objectives.Potential benefits and impact for research institutions and researchers will be underlined by 2 invited experts from institutions having already undergone the whole procedure who will be available for the 'hands-on' session concluding the workshop.
The Workshop will take place at the Congress Centre - Ohrid. The European Commission will take care of organising your travel and accommodation for participants from Albania or Montenegro EXCLUSIVELY and only if needed.
