Within the framework of these agreements travel and accommodation expenses for research visits are funded. In well justified cases a one-off lump sum for material costs can be granted within the project budget. The financial support is intended for research visits within the framework of concrete scientific cooperation projects with researchers from partner countries of the Scientific & Technologcial Cooperation; the basic funding of the research projects must be secured from other sources.

Current calls for application 

Program target

The programme aims at intensifying the international scientific cooperation of Austrian researchers and researchers from the partner countries by funding mobility expenses within the framework of a bilateral or multilateral project.

Eligible applicants

Eligible for application are legal entities (e.g. higher education institutions, research institutions, companies) wishing to carry out a non-profit oriented research project.

Application requirements

A specific, non-profit oriented research project within which researchers from the relevant partner countries ar going to cooperate and which has already secured basic funding must be submitted bilaterally in Austria and in the partner country according to the requirements effective in each country. For detailed information about project submissions see 'current calls'.

Participation of young (up to 35 years of age) and female researchers in the joint research activities will be especially appreciated in the evaluation.

Financial support is provided in the form of travel and accommodation expenses for research visits during the approved project duration.
