News archive - "Best Student Idea competition winners visited Technical University of Graz and StartUp Spritzer event
Within the Competition for Best Student Idea, the students of University of Kragujevac, University of Novi Sad and University of Montenegro visited the Technical University of Graz in the period 18th – 22nd August 2015.
Within the visit, a training for students was organized as a part of preparation activities for the Regional Final Competition that will be held in October 2015, in Belgrade. The training was focused on the detailed instructions and recommendations for preparing pitch presentations, with the aim of more successful participation of WBC students not only in Regional Competition for Best Student Ideas, but also in other similar events.
On the second day of visit, the students from Serbia and Montenegro had an opportunity to participate with their Austrian colleagues in the StartUp Spritzer event, which is traditionally organized once a month. At StartUp Spritzer, young people are given an opportunity to present their business ideas to the public and investors. All six WBC teams participated in this event as international guests and presented their ideas in the form of two-minute pitch presentations.

On the third day of visit, the students visited the Science Park in Graz. Mr. Bernhard Weber who is in charge of Business Development and StartUp coaching, presented to the students the activities of the Science Park Graz as well as the modalities of support they offer to student and young researchers in commercialization of their ideas. He also presented the success stories of their tenants. After this, students had an organized visit to the largest laboratory for high voltage in Austria, the Nikola Tesla Laboratory.
