News archive - Results of 2013 ERC Consolidator Grants call

The European Research Council has published the results of the 2013 Consolidator Grants (CoG) call. Of 3673 applications received 312 proposals have been selected for funding – a success rate of 8.5 per cent (very similar to the success rate for the 2013 Starting Grants call which was 8.6 per cent). Funded projects are based in 21 countries with the UK receiving the highest number of grants per country (around 20% of successful projects).

62 grants have been awarded across 24 different UK institutions (a UK success rate of around nine per cent): University of Oxford and University College, London (nine grants each); University of Cambridge (seven); University of Warwick (four), the Universities of Birmingham, Bristol and Edinburgh (three each); the Universities of Durham, Exeter, Leeds, Newcastle and St Andrews, Imperial College London and the London School of Economics (two each); and the Universities of Bath, East Anglia, Goldsmiths, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Southampton, Strathclyde and Sussex, and the School of Oriental and African Studies (one each).
