News archive - [Call for Papers] Tenth International Conference on Technology, Knowledge, and Society (Madrid, 6-7 February 2014)

The complex synergies between technology, knowledge and society will be the focus of this meeting. Gender equality, globalization and ICT are some of the areas that will be addressed. Participants will be guided through an interactive two-day course with opportunities to present their research and network with experts from a range of disciplines. 

Organisers are inviting proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, or colloquia (See Proposal Types) addressing the intersection of technology, knowledge, and society through one of the following themes:

Technologies for Human Use Technologies in Community
Technologies for Learning Technologies for Common Knowledge

Proposal ideas that extend beyond these thematic areas will also be considered.  For more information about the ideas and themes underlying this community, see Our Focus.

Virtual participation is available for those who are unable to attend the conference in person. Proposals for virtual presentations may be submitted at any time, up to the start of the conference. All conference registrants (in-person and virtual) may also submit their written papers for publication in the refereed International Journal of Technology, Knowledge, and Society.
