News archive - [Event Review] Launch of the Third Call for Proposals within the Cross-Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro 2007-2013

On 16 September 2013, the Opening Ceremony organised on the occasion of launching of the Third Call for Proposals within the Cross-Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro 2007-2013, financed under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) of the European Union, Component II,  took place at the Hotel "Queen of Montenegro" in Becici, Montenegro.

The Ceremony was organized by the Operating Structures of the Programme, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia and the Contracting Authorities, the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia. 

The audience was greeted by

  • § Ms. Milena Ulić, National coordinator for this Programme in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro;
  • § Ms. Krunčica Rakić, Head of the Department for external programmes of cross-border cooperation in the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia;
  • § Ms. Donata Von Sigsfeld, Attaché-task manager the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro;

 Ms. Sanja Todorović, Task manager in the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS) presented specific rules and details related to the Third Call for Proposals.

The Third Call is launched on 13 September 2013 by the Contracting Authorities, the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, as Operating Structures of this Programme.

Selected projects will be financed from the European Union funds (IPA budget allocation for the Cross Border Programme Croatia - Montenegro for years 2012 and 2013). Projects should be based upon the principle of a partnership of the organisations/institutions from Croatia and Montenegro and related to the themes defined by the Cross Border Programme measures: 

(1) Joint actions for environment, nature and cultural heritage protection;
(2) Joint tourism and cultural space;
(3) Small cross/ border community development projects.

The total funds available under this Call are 1.800.000 €, out of which 900.000 € are envisaged to be allocated for Croatian and 900.000 € for Montenegrin beneficiaries (indicated amounts may be increased for the amount of remnants funds from the Montenegrin allocation 2011).

The cross-border eligible area in Republic of Croatia is the territory of Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the adjacent area is Split-Dalmatian County. In Montenegro, the eligible areas are territories of the municipalities of Bar, Budva, Cetinje Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat and Ulcinj and the municipalities of Danilovgrad, Niksic i Podgorica as adjacent areas.

Project applications should be prepared and submitted by 13 December 2013 (16:00 hours local time), respecting the standardised procedure specified in the Guidelines for Applicants.
