This conference brought together Higher Education Institutions from Central, Southern and South-eastern Europe [Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo*, Albania, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and Austria] in order to both share cooperation expertise and to provide a platform for future common initiatives and collaboration.

The event covered the political dimension of Higher Education cooperation in the region and enhanced existing networks for projects and interested scientists willing to cooperate with each other. 

The expected participants consisted of representatives from Higher Education Institutions including management level, higher education project promoters, and researchers as well as of political and other stakeholders, Bologna Experts, Higher Education Reform Experts, and regional organisations with an active role in Higher Education.
