News archive - [Event Announcement] Invest in Researchers - Better training and careers using new funding opportunities

The coming months will be crucial to the design of European schemes (Erasmus Plus, Horizon 2020 and Structural Funds). As regards the Structural Funds, the Member States are now submitting their Smart Specialisation Strategy to be followed by the Commission-MS agreements and National Work Programmes in 2014. The good news is that there will be more money for R&D in all these schemes.

A conference titled " Invest in Researchers" will  focus on the better training and careers using new funding opportunities. It will be hosted by the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (LAS) – 3 Gedimino Ave, Vilnius on 14 and 15 November 2013.

Topics covered
1. Funding opportunities – Structural Funds and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, notably the revised COFUND
2. Doctoral training and networking across the borders and disciplines (results of study More2 and ERA Researcher careers)
3. Careers (results of ERA Researcher Careers and Vitae experience)
