News archive - Report from consultation on Research Infrastructures in Horizon 2020

The EC has published an assessment report for the recent consultation on topics for future activities in Horizon 2020 for integrating and opening existing national research infrastructures. The report includes an annex that lists all the topics that were graded with high potential and with merit. The consultation ran from July to October 2012.

The consultation received 547 submissions that represented 246 individual potential topics for support in Horizon 2020. The topics were evaluated by 50 independent experts and were graded into four categories: A – high potential for support; B – merit but some limitations; C – low potential for support; and D – outside the scope of Horizon 2020. Of the 246 topics, 73 topics were assessed grade A, 62 topics were assessed grade B, 37 topics were assessed grade C and 64 topics were assessed grade D. The annex to the assessment report includes a list of topics that were graded A and B.
