News archive - Call for Application - IHRS BioSoft Guest Student Programme

The International Helmholtz Research School of Biophysics and Soft Matter (IHRS BioSoft) is a research school at Forschungszentrum Jülich for biophysics and soft matter that is operated in cooperation with the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, Universität zu Köln and Forschungszentrum caesar Bonn.

From 29 July until 2 October 2013, the IHRS BioSoft conducts a guest student programme for master students  physics, chemistry, biology and related subjects. The programme enables selected master students to work on an own, ten-week research project in one of the participating groups. In addition, guest students will get an opportunity to learn about other areas of biophysics and soft matter by short lab courses.

In 2011 and 2012, students from Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Iran, Palestine, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the USA have participated in the IHRS BioSoft guest student programme.

The aim of the IHRS BioSoft is to support interdisciplinary research at the interfaces between traditional disciplines. Applicants from physics, chemistry, biology and related research areas should therefore also be interested in the other two disciplines. The admission deadline is 31 March 2013.
