On February 18, 2013 Professor William Molle, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Ecorys lead a seminar. The topic of the lecture was "EU Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 – Views and Proposals from the European Commission" and it was held in Skopje, FYR of Macedonia.

At the event, an official addresses were delivered by:

Mr. Martin Klaucke, Head of Operations, EU Delegation,
Mr. Jovan Andonovski, State Secretary of the Secretariat for EU Affairs,
Mr. Martin Huba, Team Leader.

As the country moves closer to the EU, it has to get acquainted with the objectives and delivery system of EU policies as they apply to the member states. All Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries are particularly interested in the transfers for stimulating growth, so it is important for the country to look already now at the mechanisms of Cohesion Policy.

The EU-funded technical assistance project shows the importance of having good governance and administrative capacity to manage EU Funds. Therefore, Prof. Willem Molle was invited to deliver a lecture in the framework of the future EU Cohesion Policy, in light of the new Financial Perspective 2014-2020. Thus, sketching some perspectives for the future relation between the EU and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
