News archive - First Meeting of the Working Group on Investment Policy and Promotion of the RCC’s SEE Investment Committee
The WorkingGroup on Investment Policy and Promotion (WGIPP) is a standing Working Group of the RCC’s SEE Investment Committee (SEEIC) created to unite expertise and efforts in putting the SEE, and Western Balkans in particular, on the European and global map. In addition to raising the investment profile of the region, the WGIPP supports development and prospective implementation of the first pillar of the SEE 2020 strategy – Integrated Growth, aiming to increase the level of investment integration in the region by the end of the decade.
The WGIPP will meet on 21st February in Sarajevo (BiH) to assess foreign direct investment policies and investment promotion activities in the region with prospects for regional coordination.
The participants will discuss possibilities of joining efforts in setting common grounds for enhancing investment climate and boosting investment promotion mechanisms for the whole region, in line with priorities of the South East Europe (SEE) 2020 strategy and the RCC’s South East Europe Investment Committee (SEEIC) work plan.
The meeting will bring together representatives of the investment promotion agencies from the Western Balkans, ministries of economies, and regional and international institutional partners.
