News archive - Policy Dialogue in Albania: Progress Report
On February 8, 2013 the LCU office in Albania organised a workshop entitled, “The State of Social Science Research in Albania”, with 30 researchers from the country in order to address the best practices for enhancing collaboration between social science researchers and policy makers. The subjects addressed in the workshop reflect some of the issues already identified by the working group engaged by the Regional Research Promotion Programme (RRPP) on Policy Dialogue Initiatives in Albania.
Throughout December 2012-January 2013, the LCU office in Albania has been meeting regularly with the working group members to discuss the Policy Dialogue Initiative in Albania. The working group consists of five members whose meetings served to identify the issues raised in previously organised activities by the RRPP in Albania.
The workshop discussions provide necessary input in the writing of a policy brief under construction by the working group. These results will be presented in the National Conference, “Bridging the Gap Between Policy Makers and Social Science Researchers in Albania”, which will be organised by the RRPP on May 9, 2013 .
