News archive - [Event Announcement] "The role of multinational companies and supply chains in innovation"

On December 4th, 2012 a consortium led by the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO), in partnership with the European Commission within the Inno-GRIPS initiative of the Directorate-General Enterprise and Industry, will present the workshop on "The role of multinational companies and supply chains in innovation".

The workshop will outline how multinational companies and cross-border collaborations can lead to the creation of new knowledge; evaluate how policy and non-policy factors can influence the location of R&D activities and investigate the effects of outward FDI in R&D and other innovation activities on the innovation base and competitiveness of parent companies in their home country. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange opinions and experiences and suggest future directions for open innovation policy.
