News archive - [Event Review] Seminar “Promotion of Intelectual Property Rights“ organised in Podgorica, Montenegro
Directorate for SME Development-DDSME in cooperation with office for technical assistance and information exchange –TAIEX, organized seminar „Promotion of Intelectual Property Rights“. Support to the organization of seminar gave publicinstitutions: Intelectual Property Office of Montenegro, Commercial Court, Custom Administration and Market Inspection. Seminar was held on 19. and 20. September 2012. in Podgorica, Montenegro.
The objective of seminar is raising awareness on importance of intelectual rights among SMEs in order to enhance their competitiveness on domestic and foreign market.
The lecturers on the seminar were eminent experts of this area from EU and Montenegro, who practically covered:
- Regulation, procedure and necessary documentation for protection of patent/mark/design/geographic origin on domestic and internation market;
- Solving disputes within authorized institutions from intellectual property area in EU and Montenegro (practice examples);
- Role of Commercial Court, Custom Administration and Market Inspection in protection of IP Rights.
Moreover, a lot of useful information and suggestions as well as practial examples were exchanged. Total 40 participants took part on the seminar. Aparat from SMEs, seminar attended representatives from government institutions, business associations, local authorities and other organization and institutions which are of importance to know IP Rights.
