The European Award is open for entries until October 18, 2012.
Whether you work in industry, at a university or research institute or for an association, are an individual inventor, or even just someone with an interest in the work inventors do, this is your chance to join in by entering your favourite inventor or invention for the award.
Besides the general public, the European Patent Office also calls upon its 4 000 examiners to come up with groundbreaking inventions from various technological areas. Examiners at the national patent offices are likewise invited to join in and put forward outstanding inventors.
The European Inventor Award was initiated in 2006 to honour the most outstanding achievements of inventors from all over the globe. It has also become a showcase of the very best scientists and engineers who have solved technical problems with ingenious solutions. The Award is a rare chance to put the spotlight on the men and women who have radically changed the world for the better.
Seize this opportunity and enter an inventor by 18 October 2012.
