News archive - New electronic submission system for the 2013 FP7 calls

The EC is moving to a new electronic submission system for the 2013 FP7 calls, which will be used for most calls under the 2013 Work Programmes. The new system replaces the Electronic Proposal Submission System (EPSS).

Currently, all open calls under the 2013 Work Programmes apart from the European Research Council (ERC) calls require submission of proposals via the new system, which is integrated into the Participant Portal. This means that anyone who wants to submit a proposal will first of all need to have an account with the European Commission Authenticated Service (ECAS).

In addition, the EC's experts' database will soon be transferred from CORDIS to the Participant Portal. Most of the data of those registered should be transferred automatically, but some profile information will have to be re-entered in a more structured way. The information currently in profiles in the CORDIS system can be retrieved until the migration to the new system is completed. Every expert should have received a notification from the European Commission to retrieve the data, while a separate e-mail will be sent by the Commission to experts in due course to activate and update their profile in the new system.

Please find out more about the Commission guidelines on the new system in the attached document.
