The conference with the Theme: Building bridges across turbulent waters will address contemporary trends in the development of the universities operating in the Danube region – in the region with EU and non-EU countries. Such composition of the countries makes a challenging milieu for the cooperation among the universities in this unique political, economic, social, cultural, environmental and geographical area. Therefore the conference will address the possibilities of the cooperation (networking) and various tools (e.g. financial possibilities) facilitating the cooperation. In addition to discussing these issues, the conference should provide the forum for face-to-face exchange of information among the members of academic communities in the universities participating in Danube Rectors Conference. As such the conference will also demonstrate the power of networking in practice – in the poster presentations of the ideas for cooperation in research, education and university development.
