The IncoNet EECA (S&T International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian Countries) is organising a workshop that focuses on three jointly selected global challenges – climate change, energy and health – in Bucharest on 11-12 June.

The Workshop aims at identification of common policy objectives of the Eastern European countries and the Central Asian countries that could be suitable to be addressed through joint EECA-EU policy approaches and the coordination at the level of RTD programmes through advanced networking institutional partnership among the EU and EECA RTDI communities.

During the last years the WBC-INCO.NET, SEA-EU-NET and INCO-NET EECA contributed to the development of a common database (http://www.global-issues-rtd.info/index.html) on relevant national and international science policies and programmes tackling global issues such as climate change. The information in the repository is an important information source to set-up future RTDI fields of cooperation.
