IPA Partnership Actions

This website groups the basic information of 15 projects receiving funding from the European Union (EU) under the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) call for proposals 128287as part of the “Partnership Actions” of the IPA 2008 programme of the Civil Society Facility dealing with safety & health at work; energy efficiency or the environment.

These projects all aim to strengthen the role of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and to develop sustainable partnerships and networks between on the one hand CSOs (such as business associations, trade unions, other social partners and professional organisations) in the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo under UNSCR 1244/99) and Turkey, and on the other hand their counterparts in the EU.

The purpose is to promote a transfer of knowledge and experience and to strengthen civil society within a participative democracy and to stimulate a civil society-friendly 'environment' and culture, being the main objective of the overall Civil Society Facility.

This Facility aims to obtain a civil society friendly society, by strengthening CSOs by providing information and exchange opportunities via the People 2 People initiative and Technical Assistance to CSOs via TACSO as well.
