In the context of its mutual learning and capacity building activities, GENDERACTION organised a training on gender equality for policymakers in Athens in June 2019.

The event provided a forum for dialogue and exchange of experiences and best practices on gender equality. In particular, the event explored issues such as the design, implementation and monitoring of gender equality policies and plans in research performing and research funding organisations, the role of research funders in integrating the gender dimension in research and innovation. The participation of representatives of European organisations during the round-table discussion provided the opportunity for exploring avenues for strengthening further the gender dimension at EU level.

The event targeted representatives from research performing and research funding organisations, representatives from bodies whose work focuses on gender equality, gender equality experts and scholars and young researchers.
