ReMaT - research management training for Early Career Researchers (Registration fee)
ReMaT is especially tailored to meet the needs of early-stage researchers especially from the 2nd year of PhD studies onwards, but is also suitable for others involved in research, or in directing research. ReMaT is an interactive, intensive workshop providing an introduction to research management. It involves two trainers and is held in English. The modules of the workshop cover exploitation of knowledge and entrepreneurship, acquisition of grants, intellectual property rights and the management of interdisciplinary projects. They are delivered in such a way that it challenges participants to consider different perspectives on how they might use their PhD education in a variety of career paths, and convince others to hire them.
ReMaT delivers hands-on practical training in an intensive, yet effective workshop form over two days.
There is a strong emphasis on European networking in the way the workshop is delivered: we encourage participation from many different countries and disciplines.
ReMaT invites PhD candidates and postdocs in natural sciences, medicine and engineering from any research institution or university to apply for one of the 25 places. The participation fee is 595 Euro (VAT included) and includes the information package.
The concept has been conceived and developed by a partnership comprising the Brussels Office of the Helmholtz Association, the Science Enterprise Centre at Oxford University's Saïd Business School and Tutech Innovation.
