Local, regional, national and macro-regional policy makers, smart specialisation and territorial development researchers and practitioners, and other stakeholders from the Mediterranean innovation ecosystem are expected to participate. We are also coordinating with our colleagues from EISMEA/EEN for a closer involvement and participation.

The innovation camp will consists of a plenary session, with conferences and round tables, and of 2 workshops. The plenary session will focus on how to strengthen innovation for a sustainable economy, exploring opportunities for collaboration across the Adriatic Ionian and the wider Mediterranean region. The first workshop will explore the potential of the transformative innovation policy labs proposed by the Interreg Euro-Med Mission Innovative Sustainable Economy to support smart specialisation and territorial integrated strategies for sustainability in the Adriatic and Ionian Macroregion. In the second workshop, participants will engage to address the challenge of depopulation in rural areas, with innovative methodologies and tools proposed by the institutional dialogue project.
