Verlab Institute in cooperation with the City of Sarajevo is organizing a conference called "Raising awareness of the importance of digital transformation of public administration" which will be held on December 9, 2022. in the Town Hall starting at 12:30 p.m.
With the fourth industrial revolution, digitization is becoming the main catalyst for innovation, modernization, economic growth, competitiveness and comprehensive socio-economic progress and development. Digitization, as one of the priorities, transforms the way public administration works and increases its economy, transparency and quality of work. Digital transformation is the path that public administration must take in order to successfully adapt to the changes taking place in society.
Description
Global experience shows that technology can significantly reduce the burden and costs of public services. However, before integrating technology into public administration, it is necessary to understand the processes that need to be digitized. The regional exchange of knowledge and ideas, as well as regional connection, is of inestimable importance for the successful transformation of the process.
Invited lecturers at the conference are Mrs. Marta Arsovska Tomovska, an expert in digital innovation who currently holds the position of director of the public administration reform team in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, and Dr. Sanja Damjanović, physicist by profession, former Minister of Science in the Government of Montenegro, currently works as a researcher at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany. A significant contribution and support in holding this conference was given by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton and the Society for Medical and Biological Engineering in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
