Description

Science diplomacy has gained momentum in recent years particularly in the context of tackling global challenges. Innovation diplomacy describes the valorization of innovation through diplomatic action. In May 2021, the European Commission presented its new strategy for international cooperation in research and innovation, the Global Approach to Research and Innovation. Featuring a panel of various stakeholders, this session will engage innovators and policy makers in a discussion around innovation diplomacy, building on the EU’s global engagements relevant to climate change.
