Second event, Coordination with Donors and Official Development Assistance in SDGs in the context of SEE2030, taking place on 7 April, aims to highlight the importance of aid effectiveness principles adopted by various international acts and declarations, such as ownership, alignment with recipient country priorities and policy frameworks, harmonisation, transparency and accountability, aid predictability, and civil society engagement and participation. Many sustainable development related challenges in SEE require revisiting policy options to increase their effectiveness and support SEE economies efforts in reaching their sustainable development goals. In this context, SEE2030 Strategy’s strong reliance on aid effectiveness principles starting from its early stages of preparation will be presented as a good practice.

The SEE 2030 Strategy adopted by the leaders of the thirteen economies of South East Europe (SEE) adopted the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Summit in Antalya, in June 2021,  is a joint call for action by all 13 South East Europe (SEE) economies. Through regional cooperation the Strategy seeks to promote and advance the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals within the SEE region across the three dimensions of sustainable development: Prosperity, People, Peace and Partnerships
