Using hydropower, wind, solar, geothermal and bioenergy resources, Costa Rica represents one of the best examples of clean energy systems, responsible freshwater management and climate-change solutions. The event will take place from 7 to 24 September 2021 with virtual sessions across multiple time zones bringing discussions to stakeholders around the world. Live sessions will be interpreted and accessible on demand. This year we will reach a larger, more diverse audience than any previous World Hydropower Congress, All registered participants will have unlimited access to the programme. The event will be the premier global meeting place for energy, finance and development professionals. 

Industry leaders, financiers, policy experts, representatives from governments, international institutions and civil society from around the world will join the World Hydropower Congress. The virtual Attendee Hub will ensure participants from multiple timezones can join connect with each other and join the discussions online.

The World Hydropower Congress will set a bold agenda for hydropower, grounded on commitments from the sector and a public declaration that will set the foundation for a new approach towards global hydropower development.
