Short description

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is hosting the "European Forum on Science & Education for Sustainability 2020" (#EFSES2020) on 6 October 2020 as a highlight of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The forum will be held in an interactive virtual format live from Berlin.

Description

The forum will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to develop concrete proposals on how to shape an Innovative and Sustainable Europe through research and education.

Panel discussion

How can we scale sustainable innovations?
How can behavioural change lead to a sustainable Europe?

Workshops

1. Making Europe Climate-neutral
2. Reversing Inequalities
3. Moving Education towards Sustainability
4. Circular Economy for SDGs

The results of the workshops will provide fresh impetus for the European programmes Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ and will be summarized in a conference paper
