The Innovation Principle – Developing an innovation-friendly legislative culture
Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will organize, in collaboration with the European Commission, a High-Level Conference on the Innovation Principle on Helsinki 3 December 2019.
The aim of the Conference is to raise awareness and build a shared understanding of opportunities and challenges in developing an innovation-friendly legislative culture in Europe. A further aim is to identify key policy questions on how to facilitate the use of the Innovation Principle in building the best possible ecosystem for innovation to flourish.
The Conference will bring together high-level decision makers, businesses, researchers and other stakeholders to discuss and share their insights and experiences. The keynote speakers will be Professor Karen Yeung, Interdisciplinary Professorial Fellow in Law, Ethics and Informatics at the Birmingham Law School & School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham and Deputy Director-General Signe Ratso from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
In addition, the Conference consists of two panel discussions and a series of examples on how to develop legislative culture innovation in mind.
The event is invitation-only, but will be webstreamed.
