The day will start with the 7th Bio-NCP meeting, and afternoon session will be devoted to the final meeting with the all Bio-NCPs fellows. The conference will be an interactive event and will draw on the experiences of the project and strengthen the connections to the future.

BioHorizon is a project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme. Its purpose is to align and enhance the services that National Contact Points (NCPs) for “Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy” (Societal Challenge 2), as well as for the Key Enabling Technology (KET)-Biotechnology provide to potential beneficiaries of European funding in those areas across Europe and worldwide.

BBI JU Head of Programme Eleni Zika will participate in the panel discussion "A dialogue towards the synergies between Bioeconomy Initiatives and the NCP network", on how the stakeholders of the agri-food and bioeconomy sector work together.

Moreover, on 22nd of November NCPs are invited to join the guided visit to the Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BBEU), organized by the BioHorizon project. Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant (BBEU) is an independent, state-of-the-art facility that operates from a laboratory level to a multi-ton scale, and enables the conversion of biomass (e.g. agricultural crops and by-products, industrial side streams) into biochemicals, biomaterials, biofuels and other bioproducts.
