This is a ThinkForest seminar  which is the European high-level forum on the future of forests.The seminar will focus on climate targets and policies related to bioeconomy development in the future.

Description

The event provides a better science-policy understanding of the path towards reaching the Paris Agreement and how it is connected to the bioeconomy development of the future.

  • How are climate targets and policies related to bioeconomy development in the future?
  • How can the forest bioeconomy best support the achievement of the Paris Agreement?
  • What does the recent science evidence say about the mitigation impacts of substituting wood-based products for fossil based products?

ThinkForest is a European high-level forum on the future of forests. It provides:

By helping policy makers navigate through the wealth of information on offer and providing them with the best available expertise and the latest research-based information from the scientific community it enables informed decision making on strategic forest issues.

Chaired by former Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson, ThinkForest is a unique forum which helps to build bridges on pan-European forest and bioeconomy issues. Since 2012, 17 events have been held, attended by over 1000 people.
