The “Serbian Cluster Day”, to be held in Nis on 11 May 2017,will focus on the SMEs development in Southern Serbia.

The Embassy of Denmark in Belgrade and the Cluster House Nis would like to inform and invite you to the “Serbian Cluster Day”, a tailor made event based on the Serbian cluster-based SME needs, which consists of the Round Table discussion on the SMEs development in Southern Serbia; visit to the food processing company YUMIS, the leading company of the Nis Region Agro Cluster; and the lecture on State of green – the Danish way of N.E. Mr. Morten Skovgaard Hansen, Charge d'Affaires a.i. of The Embassy of Denmark in Serbia.
The “Serbian Cluster Day” will be held in Nis. The Round Table discussion will start at the Cluster House premises, 52 Generala Milojka Lesjanina Str., in Thursday 11 May 2017 from 10.30-12.30h.

In 2017 Denmark and Serbia celebrate 100 years’ anniversary of diplomatic relations. 100 years where the two countries have cooperated in various areas, in particular, in the last decade. To mark this great Centenary the Embassy of Denmark in Serbia will visit the Cluster House Nis, the exit strategy of the LEDIB Programme.
The Local Economic Development in the Balkans (LEDIB) was a large-scale programme under the Danish Neighbourhood programme, initiated to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Southern Serbia. Based in the City of Nis, LEDIB became a well-known brand during 2007-2012 due to its massive provision of technical assistance and support to cluster-based small and medium-sized enterprises development, business membership organizations, business development services and public institutions.
The Cluster House Model is a proven way of supporting and accelerating cluster development in countries in transition. The model fosters collaboration through networks, meetings, advisory services, inter-business networks, matchmaking events, and training sessions. The model covers business support for clusters, SMEs - start-ups and existing companies, which includes business information, consulting, training, communication, B2B C2C matchmaking and promotion and resulted with the following key outputs:
- Cluster House Cluster Mapping Methodology and Cluster Needs Assessment
- Cluster Training Programme for countries in transition
- Cluster Learning Trip Programme
- Annually Balkan and Black Sea Conferences "Days of Clusters"
- Journal "INFOCLUSTER"
- Business TV programme “The Balkan Cluster” for cluster development in the Balkans
- Coordination of the Balkan and Black Sea Cluster Network
