Description

FP7 & H2020 Project Management Lab

The "Lab" - An all-new training programme by Europa Media

The Lab is a unique five-day intensive training programme covering all the theoretical and practical aspects of coordinating and managing projects under the EU’s research and innovation (R&I) programmes.

The Lab has been developed by Europa Media in response to the recurring demands of our training participants for a longer and more comprehensive course, going into all the details of project management and financial reporting under FP7 and Horizon 2020.

The Lab will provide you with a unique oppotunity to gain direct insight into the daily work of Europa Media and Geonardo teams, and experience first-hand how we manage and coordinate our projects.

Let’s spend a week together – Only 10 participants will be admitted!

The FP7&H2020 Project Management Lab is not simply a training course.

It is a comprehensive programme that consists of presentations, practical workshops, on-the-job exercises and personal consultations.

You will spend a whole week with Europa Media’s team of project managers, coordinators and financial administrators, hosted at our premises, getting a complete insight to project management and financial reporting under the EU’s R&I programmes.

Only 10 participants will be admitted to The Lab in order to ensure a much more focussed learning experience and a customised programme!

During the 5-day Lab, you will:

  • Get a complete insight into the financial issues of FP7 and Horizon 2020;
  • Understand the Grant Agreement preparation process, learn how to draft a Consortium Agreement and ensure successful project inception;
  • Interpret the Grant Agreement, its terms and their implications on your project;
  • Obtain the necessary skills and tactics to coordinate and manage your project efficiently and effectively;
  • Simulate financial reporting by putting together your financial statement for FP7/H2020 based on custom-made documentation;
  • Simulate project management and technical reporting based on real-life project management scenarios and case studies;
  • Get the opportunity to interact with our project managers, ask questions and hear their real-life stories;
  • Network and exchange experiences with leading universities, research institutions and companies from around the EU and beyond.

Why participate in the "FP7 & H2020 Project Management Lab"

 The Lab will provide you with the practical knowledge and skills for getting a Horizon 2020 project started on the right foot, ensuring a sound technical implementation of the project, and effectively conduct financial management and reporting.

1. Trainers are ACTUAL project managers and coordinators

Our trainers and workshop leaders are flesh-and-bone project managers and coordinators, whose day-to-day work is to make sure that their multiple projects are implemented according to the EC Grant Agreement, problems are promptly tackled, and project partners adequately assisted in legal, technical and financial management issues.

Over the years we have helped almost 7,000 project managers and coordinators in understanding the legal, technical and financial rules of the Research Framework Programmes and managing European projects.
